Web Design & Development

Built with purpose. Made to perform.

Most people don’t want a website. They want more business.

The problem

Most sites are not designed to win new business.

Websites that aren’t designed to help someone make a decision can leave visitors unsure. And you never really find out, because the people who leave don’t tell you. They just go somewhere else.

So I build around the decision that your visitors make. What someone needs to know before they’ll call, in the order they need it, with nothing in the way. That comes from years of testing real sites and watching how people really use them.

Is this you?

  • Work comes in by referral, and you’d like it to come in from somewhere else too.
  • Your site was built years ago and nobody has touched it since.
  • People find the site but almost nobody gets in touch.
  • The people who do get in touch aren’t the customers you want.
  • You’ve outgrown a template or a DIY builder and it’s starting to show.
  • You’re embarrassed to hand out the address.

What you get

Sites built properly, end to end.

There’s a lot more to a great website than a pleasing visual design. Everything underneath it is what separates a site that just looks fine from one that earns you business, and all of it is included in every build.

  • Research before anything is designed - into your market, your competitors, and the customers you want more of.
  • Content and messaging strategy so each page knows what it has to say, and in what order, before it gets built.
  • Sitemap comes in early, so you see the whole structure while it’s still easy to change.
  • Custom development from scratch. No bloated templates, no corners cut.
  • Built to be maintainable so adding a service, a location, or a section later is easy.
  • Your content, sharpened - you bring the raw material and I hone it, especially on the pages that earn you business.
  • SEO foundation and technical groundwork to help your site get found. Going beyond the foundation is its own plan (ask for details).
  • Accessibility optimization - contrast, alt text, and structure that let more people use the site.
  • Mobile responsive - so your site is fast and looks great on every device.
  • Analytics set up so you can see traffic and engagement instead of guessing at them.
  • Smooth hand-off with individualized training as needed, so you know how to use your new website.

How it works

The same process, every project. No guessing. No drift.

  • Step 1

    We talk

I learn how work comes in now, who your best customers are, and what’s been getting in the way of more of it.

  • Step 2

    Blueprint

You see the full plan before anything gets built: the pages, the content, and how the whole thing fits together.

  • Step 3

    Build

I show you the work in stages, and each one gets your sign-off before the next begins. You're kept in the loop.

  • Step 4

    Launch

Your site goes live, and I don’t disappear. I’m still here to fix, tune, and add as the business changes.

FAQ

Answers to common questions I get.

How long does it take?

Three to eight weeks from the first conversation to launch, on a typical site. Scope sets the range, and how fast content and approvals come back decides whether you’re closer to three weeks or closer to eight. If your project sits outside that, you’ll know early.

What do you need from me?

Time on a call at the start, honest answers about how the business really works, and whatever photos and text you already have. After that it’s mostly feedback: you see the work in stages, and the quicker it comes back, the quicker things move. You don’t have to hand over finished writing either: bring what you’ve got and I’ll sharpen it, and if you want it taken further than that, just ask.

What happens after launch?

You get the hand-off and the training, so it’s yours to run. I’m still reachable when something comes up. And if you’d rather not think about it at all, there’s a monthly plan for that.

Can I update it myself afterwards?

Yes. Text, photos, and the things that change often are yours to change. Anything structural is me.

What does it cost?

From $2,999 for a one-time build. What it comes to depends on the size of the site and how much custom functionality, writing, and strategy it needs. You’ll have a final number before anything starts that won’t move unless you ask for something new. There’s also an all-in monthly plan that covers the build and everything after it, from upkeep to growth.

Do I need to be near Edmonton?

No. Most of the work is remote, so it doesn’t matter where you are. Same questions at the start, same stages, same sign-off before each one moves ahead.

What if I already have a site?

First I’ll go through what’s there and show you what’s holding up and what isn’t. Sometimes the copy or the photography is worth keeping. Sometimes building on someone else’s foundation costs more than starting clean. Either way, nothing happens without first weighing what it does to how you get found.
